Generac Energy Services is a cutting-edge team that is working to provide end-to-end digital solutions for customers who are striving to manage increasingly complex portfolios of residential and/or industrial distributed energy resources and who want to leverage the power flexibility of their portfolio into energy markets and utility programs.

As a Platform Support Specialist I on the Energy Technology team, you will be part of a growing group of problem solvers who think outside the box and deliver exceptional customer support. Our Platform Support Team’s top priority is ensuring our customers are achieving their reliability and sustainability goals with Generac Energy Services’ products. As a Platform Support Specialist, you will provide front-line support, act as a champion for our customers, and consistently provide professional, knowledgeable, and personable support.
Working closely with the product team, leveraging first-hand customer context to provide input into Generac Energy Services’ product vision, helping identify areas where existing customer experience could be improved and uncovering new use cases amongst our portfolio of accounts.
We are open to filling this position in the US as well, Denver, CO & Indianapolis, IN.

**Essential Duties**:
**Minimal Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary degree or diploma in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience in closely related field - 0-2 years’ experience working with cloud-based software deployments. - Familiarity with Tableau reports and competence in SQL - An understanding software APIs: ability to read API documentation, perform API requests and interpret responses.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience working in technical sales support, product management, utility program management or customer support environments. - Background in developing, managing, or supporting software products. - Experience working with issue and project tracking platforms like Jira and Asana, and with service desk platforms like Jira Service Desk and Zoho Desk. - Power systems or electrical engineering knowledge or background - Internet of things (IoT) experience - General familiarity and understanding of C&I equipment and processes such as building management systems (BMS), HVAC systems, etc.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Strong understanding of development activities and tasks - Flexibility to work in different time zones to support GES’s global customer base. - Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills, and capable of working with many diverse stakeholders - Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills - Exercise high levels of initiative, judgment, and diplomacy. - Excellent time management skills, able to meet deadlines, manage time effectively - Able to work collaboratively with other team members, and take direction from others - Strong decision-making skills - Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting; close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel possible.
