**Communicative Disorders Assistant** **Position Summary**: To provide speech and language intervention services for children experiencing communication difficulties following documented treatment plans developed by the supervising Speech Language Pathologist. Services will be delivered through individual therapy sessions with the child and parent, following a family centred service approach. Group Intervention will also be delivered. Service will be provided in the Centre and at outreach locations throughout Northumberland County. The position entails flexibility in days and hours of work. Additional opportunities for professional growth within the field of child development are available. **Key Qualifications**: - Communicative Disorders Assistant Postgraduate Diploma from an accredited College or University. - Possession of a valid Class "G" Ontario Driver’s License and access to a vehicle. - Current knowledge of a wide range of communication and related disorders for preschool children. - Demonstrated organizational skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Effective interpersonal skills. to the attention of: Clare Paterson, Executive Director Northumberland Child Development Centre **Job Type**: Permanent **Salary**: $26.00-$38.50 per hour Expected hours: No less than 21 per week **Education**: - Bachelor's Degree (preferred) **Experience**: - Communicative Disorders Assistants: 1 year (preferred) Work Location: In person
