Carpenter

3R’s Construction & Renovation Ltd is provides general construction services, bathroom renovation, general home renovation, new construction, deck installs, electrical roughing and finishing in the Barrhead, Alberta area.

We are currently looking to fill two (2) carpenter positions. These positions will also require some experience in installation and roofing. Both are permanent and full-time positions 40 to 44 hours weekly based in Barrhead, Alberta.
- **Duties and responsibilities**:

- Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements
- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials Prepare tenders and quotations
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware Instruct apprentices
- Supervise other workers
- Estimate costs and materials
- Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality Install sheet metal flashings
- Repair roofing systems

**Qualifications and Education required**:
Other trades certificate or diploma

or equivalent experience

**Languages**:
English

**Experience**:
2 years to less than 3 years

Work must be completed at the physical location.

There is no option to work remotely.
