**The Opportunity**
As the **Site Manager** you will be responsible for developing and maintaining professional relationships with both internal and external customers to successfully meet objectives and add value for customers.
- Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to safety and adhere to BME Mining Canada's and the customer's Safe Operating Procedures
- Manage Drill & Blast crews
- Manage onsite manufacturing emulsion plant
- Work to achieve high levels of positive working relationships with customers to fully demonstrate BME Mining Canada’s service commitment.
- Understand and enhance service requirements to continually improve customer profitability.
- Implement continuous improvement programs by following management policies and procedures in order to meet customer expectations, business objectives, and budget goals.
- Prepare and submit the proper paperwork to document expenses, safety statistics, payroll information, and others as required by policy.
- Experience with electronic and non-electric blasting systems
- Experience with gassed emulsion products
- Experience with the pumping of bulk emulsion products and safety protocols
- Understanding and knowledge of drilling operations
- Overall blast design and safety procedures experience in regard to blasting operations
- Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and mine blasting standards
- Drill and Blast Design using software models
- Data Management and Analysis
- Progress and KPI Management
**About you**
**Education**:
Degree in Engineering - Mining or Civil
Common Core Modules (770010, 770210, 770225, 770141)
Project Management Skills
**Experience**:
5 Years of experience in a supervisory role, including experience leading employees.
3+ years surface mine planning
Blasting experience - surface mining
**Skills**:
- Microsoft Office, and related software products.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking ability.
- Demonstrate open and transparent dialogue in all aspects of work.
- Must be obsessed with safety and risk.
- Written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision and work well with others in a team environment.
- Must be at least 25 years of age.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Knowledgeable of applicable ERD, Transport Canada, and all other relevant regulations related to the explosives industry
- Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
