**THE ROLE**
Under the supervision of the Corporate Services Manager, the Social Media Assistant assists in the promotion of PSP activities and services and specials events activities for the military community. She/he participates in editorial writing and uploads content on platforms including, but not limited to, website, social media, newsletter and local newspapers. She/he assists in the development and preparation of stories, advertisements, posters, and other materials for publication, edits and uploads texts, images and videos on the department's digital platforms and assists in the planning and production of editorial products. She/he collects and proposes topics for digital and traditional platforms. She/he participates in media and local events, suggests and prepares visual contents adapted to target audience.
**QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED** Education, Certifications and Licenses**
College diploma or certificate in Social Media, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field AND some years of experience in social media or a related field
OR
High school diploma AND several years of experience in social media or a related field
**Experience**
In graphic design
In producing media relations social media content
In search engine optimization
In social media marketing
In using social media analytics tools
In the use of social media platforms
In digital survey writing
In digital form creation
In broadcasting on social media
In video and photo editing
In publishing content online
In media text writing
In content redesign
**Competencies, Skills and Abilities**

**LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS**
French Essential / Bilingual an asset
Reading: Functional
