Acquired by Tidan in 2018, this hotel is located in the heart of the metropolis of Montreal. The Marriott Château Champlain is a 1-minute walk from the metro, accessible through an underground passage adjacent to the Bell Centre and also via 1000 De La Gauchetière. This iconic Montreal hotel, with its 36 floors, 614 rooms, 13 suites, and 25 meeting rooms, was completely renovated in 2021 and can accommodate up to 1000 guests. Reporting to the Director of Maintenance, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and general maintenance of the establishment's facilities. This essential role ensures that all equipment, systems, and infrastructure of the establishment operate optimally to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our guests.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and systems such as plumbing, electricity, air conditioning, heating, security systems, etc.
Repair and resolve technical malfunctions and issues reported by customers or detected during regular inspections.
Perform minor renovation work such as painting, wall repair, floor covering installation, etc.
Ensure proper functioning of kitchen equipment, appliances, and sanitary installations.
Monitor and maintain air ventilation and filtration systems to ensure optimal air quality.
Manage maintenance requests and assigned tasks through the maintenance tracking system.
Coordinate with other hotel departments to minimize disruptions during maintenance work.
Adhere to safety standards and regulations when performing maintenance tasks.
Maintain an appropriate inventory of spare parts and supplies needed for maintenance work.
Participate in team meetings and training to stay updated on new technologies and best maintenance practices.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in building mechanics, electromechanics, or a related field.
Prior experience in general maintenance, preferably in the hotel industry.
Solid knowledge of plumbing, electricity, air conditioning, heating, and security systems.
Problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose technical malfunctions.
Good understanding of safety standards and safe use of tools and equipment.
Ability to work independently while demonstrating strong teamwork skills.
Attention to detail, precision, and ability to meet deadlines.

**Languages**: Bilingualism (French and English) in both spoken and written form is required for this position, as we serve an international clientele.
