- Basic Requirements- Diploma in a recognized College of Technology and Health in Cardiology Technology or an equivalent education;
- Registered Member of CSC, or relevant professional college;
- Respiratory Therapist, Registered Nurse,Certified Cardiographic Technician,Registered Cardiovascular Technologist,North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology certificate or the equivalent;
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Cardiac Diagnostic 1 OR Minimum 3 years of cardiac-related experience with treadmill, ECG and ambulatory monitoring devices;
- Certified in BCLS;
- Demonstrates abilities to prepare patients for exercise stress tests and portable arrhythmia detection device monitoring;
- Must be able to operate automated protocol driven exercise stress tests and assist in injection of radioactive material for cardiac imaging;
- Ability to interpret ECGs and detect ischemia, BBB and other basic arrhythmias;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Superior written and verbal communication skills;
- Sound judgment and problem-solving abilities.
- Preferred Qualifications- Certified ACLS;
- Membership with Ontario Society of Cardiology Technologist;
