Lead Fabricator

Brampton, Canada Elemment Ltd. Full time

Responsibilities:

- Fabricate complicated parts and equipment.
- Familiarity with reading blueprints and drawings, be able to take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures.
- Knowledge and experience operating saws, notchers, milling machines, drill presses, punches and hand tools are a must.
- Perform minor machine repairs and maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
- Follow health and safety protocols and communicate with team members.
- Any other related duties that may be requested from time to time by the VP & Plant Manager and the Assistant Shop Manager.

Job Qualifications:

- Ability to lift and manipulate large metal objects.
- Requires basic computer skills.
- Ability to stand, crouch, and occasionally lift heavy equipment.
- Must be able to take part in and develop QA and QC protocols.
- Must be a dedicated team player.

**Experience**:

- Must have at least 5 years of experience in curtainwall fabrication.

- High Degree of detail/quality of work.
- High degree of ownership for work area, tools and equipment.
- High degree of responsibility for meeting production schedules and maintaining quality.
