**Job Overview**

We are seeking a highly skilled Master Goldsmith to join our team, specializing in fine jewelry repair and restoration. This role requires a deep understanding of both traditional and modern goldsmithing techniques, as well as a passion for craftsmanship and detail.

As part of our team, you’ll play a vital role in giving these timeless works of art a second home—and the chance for their stories to continue.

**Necessary skills and experience**:

- 5+ years proven experience as a goldsmith/jewelry repair, specifically with vintage and antique pieces.
- Able to perform expert repairs on all types of jewelry, with a focus on second hand, vintage, and antique pieces with various levels of work performed on them throughout the years.
- Ability to identify previous work and assess pieces for possible issues before working
- Restore vintage, antique, and custom pieces to their original condition.
- Ability to resize 10-20 rings a day
- Laser repairs, re-tipping, rhodium plating.
- Confident in resizing over 2 sizes in difference.
- Proficiency in working with gold (8k, 9k, 10k, 12k, 14k, 15k, 18k, 20k, 22k, 24k) and platinum.
- Recreate missing design elements using traditional techniques (hand engraving, filigree, milgrain, etc)
- Basic stone-setting, primarily melee.
- Set and tighten antique stone cuts (Old Mine, Old European, Rose Cuts, etc.)
- Attention to detail, a commitment to quality craftsmanship and strong problem-solving abilities for complex repairs.
- Ability to work independently and manage repair workflow efficiently.
- Casting and production of new pieces of jewelry
- Excellent communication and client service skills.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Assess jewelry damage and provide accurate repair estimates.
- Custom work

**Preferred skills if applicable**:

- Certification or formal training in jewelry design or goldsmithing.
- Experience with CAD design.
- Gemmology experience.
- Experience with enamelling.
- Comfortable training and mentoring potential goldsmiths in future.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
