Role Description

Our increased traffic during the Christmas season presents an opportunity for the right candidate to be a part of the team on a part-time/casual basis.

If you have the maturity, poise and empathy to engage in meaningful conversations with our well-heeled clientele, we want to hear from you. While jewelry expertise is desirable, luxury sales experience can also suffice. Note that Stittgen is a commission-free collegial environment and you would be paid an hourly rate commensurate with your experience.

The Sales Associate will be responsible for assisting customers in selecting jewelry, providing knowledgeable and personalized service, ensuring a positive shopping experience, handling transactions, and maintaining the store's visual presentation.

While this is a short-term position (till December 24, 2025), it is highly likely that you would be called upon to fill in for vacations and other absences during 2026.

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Impeccable English language skills.
  • Knowledge of, or interest in, fine jewelry, gemstones, and precious metals. Previous retail or sales experience in the luxury or jewelry industry is essential.
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a tidy and visually appealing retail space.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
  • Ability to work as a team player and take on a variety of tasks.
  • A passion for working in a team-oriented environment and delivering a premium shopping experience.

Note to those not living on the North Shore: Commuting to/from the North Shore has become very time-consuming; please consider your ability to get to 1457 Bellevue Avenue in West Vancouver before applying.

Job Type: Part-time

Expected hours: 15 – 22.5 per week
