Halifax, Canada Centennial Pool Association Full time

**Spring 2025 full time and part time positions are available. As of April 1st pay will increase** **to $18.20 (including 4% vacation pay paid biweekly) per hour for all swim instructor staff.**

Job Summary:
We are seeking dedicated Swim Instructors to join our team. The Swim Instructor will be responsible for teaching swimming techniques and water safety to students of diverse ages and skill levels.

**Duties**:

- Instruct students on proper swimming techniques and water safety practices
- Develop lesson plans tailored to individual or group needs
- Provide constructive feedback to students to improve their swimming abilities
- Ensure a safe and positive learning environment
- Monitor and enforce pool rules and regulations
- Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding progress

**Skills**:

- Strong swim skills and knowledge of various strokes
- Ability to educate and instruct individuals of different age groups and skill levels
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
- Previous experience as a swim instructor is a plus

Qualifications:

- Current Swim for Life Instructors Certification
- Current Standard First Aid CPR-C Certification

Pay: From $17.68 per hour

Expected hours: 17.68 per week
