They directly manage 3 General Managers and 3 Assistant Managers, and indirectly manage 60+ part-time staff.

This position reports directly to the owners (Brittany and Rob) and works closely with them day-to-day.

Unlike many similar roles in retail or hospitality, this role isn’t directly responsible for achieving sales goals or dealing with massive inventories. The Ops Manager gets to focus almost all of their energy on helping and developing their teams, improving processes and ensuring we are delivering amazing customer experiences.

People Leadership Responsibilities
- Directly lead a team of 6 GMs and AMs and indirectly lead 60+ part-time staff

- Lead weekly meetings with the managers of each location
- Have regular 1-on-1s with your team members
- Maintain company culture through coaching, staff events, training, etc

Operations Responsibilities
- Back-fill for GMs as required (vacations, vacancies, etc)
- Provide on-call support to managers for in-progress situations
- Oversee inventory levels
- Investigate and follow-up on negative customer experiences
- Update data for reporting (NPS, KPIs, etc)

Facilities Responsibilities
- Regularly visit locations to ensure our standards are being upheld
- This involves traveling to Calgary for a few days 6-8 times a year at a minimum

**Experience**

- 3+ years being a General Manager in retail or hospitality setting
- Have held an Operations Manager or District Manager role before

Personality
- **High EQ and Empathy**

You take the time to understand the position and viewpoint of everyone you deal with.
- **Excellent Communication Skills**

Whether written, in-person, via video calls or Slack, you know how to both listen and be heard.
Sometimes you have to have difficult conversations and make difficult decisions
- **Observant**

You notice the small things and will make a note of them, recalling them as needed
