**Job Overview** Operators will receive "on-call" pay for the weeks they are scheduled regardless of being called out for service. **Duties** - Must be available on an "On-Call" basis - Must remain in the Muskoka area when they are considered to be "On-Call" - Must keep daily logs on conditions and services performed on every property. - Must be reliable - Operate snow plow and other equipment to remove snow and ice from roads, driveways, and parking lots. - Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including checking fluid levels, cleaning, and lubricating parts. - Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and ensure optimal performance. - Maintain clear communication with supervisors regarding job progress and any challenges encountered. - Ensure compliance with safety regulations while operating machinery in various weather conditions. **Experience** - Applicant must obtain at least 5 years of insured plowing employment experience. - Operator must be able to provide a clean driving abstract. - Previous experience operating snow plows or similar heavy machinery is required. - Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices is a plus. - Strong mechanical knowledge to assist in equipment troubleshooting and repairs. - Ability to work long hours during inclement weather conditions while maintaining a high level of safety awareness.
