Assist in logistics planning and coordination of meetings between City of Calgary and administrative counterparts with Indigenous governments.
- Draft briefing notes, correspondence, key messages, and ensure comments and edits are made to final drafts.
- Draft contents of information packages to support ongoing processes to negotiate and finalize agreements with Indigenous governments. Share key information with City Administration.
- Assist in monitoring political, social, legal, and economic landscapes in Treaty 7 territory.

**Qualifications**
- Enrolled in a diploma or degree program in Indigenous Studies, Canadian Studies, Political Science, History, General Arts, or a related program.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Experience and/or training within the Indigenous practices and community would be considered an asset.
- Must be detail oriented with the ability to prioritize work on multiple deliverables while meeting tight deadlines.
- Success is this position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as political acumen, discretion, and diplomacy.

**Pre-Employment Requirements**
- Must be currently enrolled in school on a full-time basis with the intent to return to school full-time in the Fall of 2025.

Compensation: $28.88 per hour
Days of Work: This position works a 5 day
- work week with 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.
- Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
