About the Role:

- Promote a culture of job site safety, where safety is everyone’s responsibility;
- Actively conduct site safety inspections to enforce preventative measures;
- Conduct site specific health, safety & environmental orientations for all new site workers and visitors;
- Provide the administration of First Aid to injured workers as incidents arise and record and investigate incidents to determine their causes;
- Aid in supporting injured workers through the assignment of modified duties;
- Support the preparation of project safety documentation, including safe work procedures, hazard assessments, and the provision of training and awareness to workers relative to these processes.

The successful Construction Safety Officer (CSO) is someone who takes pride in having a positive working relationship with their crew and trades, cultivating a safe working environment. People would describe you as someone who leads by example and has strong work ethic, with the ability to adapt on the fly and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. By leveraging your extensive background in health and safety, you are able to ensure safety compliance in all areas of the construction process.

**_Skills and Requirements _**
- A minimum of at least two (2) years of experience in industrial, commercial or residential high-rise construction safety;
- Valid Level-2 or Level-3 or Occupational First Aid certificate;
- NCSO or similar designation;
- Solid understanding of WSBC OH&S regulations;
- Sound interpersonal (written/verbal) skills with the ability to handle high pressure situations in a professional manner.
