**(Temporary, Full-Time)**:
Located on the traditional, ancestral and unceded lands of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations, West Vancouver is a vibrant community on the North Shore and home to parks, beaches, and to sports, recreation and arts amenities. We are seeking employees with a passion for public service who share our commitment to creating a complete, inclusive and livable community. Our dedicated staff deliver services, operate facilities and run the programs that enhance the well-being of our community.
Preferred applicants will have:
Ÿ Detailed knowledge concerning safe use of landscape maintenance equipment specific to turf and golf course operations;
Ÿ Detailed knowledge of agronomic practices for golf courses;
Ÿ Sufficient physical strength, stamina and coordination to permit the performance of manual outdoor work in all types of weather;
Ÿ An interest in Parks and Golf operations and a desire to learn;
Ÿ Possession of a valid Class 5 Driver’s License for the Province of BC; and
Ÿ Experience working in turf and golf grounds maintenance would be considered an asset.
**Position Status: Union (WVMEA) - Temporary, Full-Time**:
**Hours of Work: 40 hours per week: hours and days of work may vary and may include weekends. (Shifts start between 5:30 and 6:30 a.m.)**:
**Rate of Pay: $30.88 per hour plus 14% in lieu of benefits**:
**(This position has a pay structure with three steps that increase after certain hours.)**:
