We’re looking for a motivated Apprentice Painter to join our team and learn the trade while working alongside experienced crew leaders.
Position Overview
The Apprentice Painter supports the crew by assisting with preparation, painting, cleanup, and jobsite organization. This is an entry-level role designed for individuals who want to learn a skilled trade and grow within a professional company.
No experience is required — we are looking for strong character, work ethic, and coachability.
Key Responsibilities
Jobsite Support
- Assist with prep work including washing, scraping, sanding, masking, and priming
- Help with painting tasks under supervision
- Maintain clean and organized work areas Learning & Development
- Follow BC Brushworks’ systems and procedures
- Learn proper tool use, safety practices, and painting techniques
- Accept coaching and feedback with a growth mindset Team Contribution
- Show up on time and ready to work
- Support crew members to keep projects running efficiently
- Contribute to a positive, respectful jobsite culture Requirements: Must-Haves
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work outdoors and at heights
- Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical work Nice to Have (Not Required)
- Any construction or labour experience; painting experience an asset
- Interest in learning a skilled trade
- Long-term career mindset Who You Are
