**Position Summary**

The AJISS Senior Configuration Specialist will be responsible to establish and maintain coherency between the AOPS (Arctic and Offshore Patrol Ship) and JSS (Joint Support Ship) products and their documentation during the whole lifecycle. More specifically the Senior Configuration Specialist will be a key player in maintaining the integrity of the configuration records and the traceability and history with respect to engineering data and associated changes related to the products.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Registration and releasing of configuration information.
- Ensures integrity and maintenance of configuration records, history and traceability.
- Ensures the integrity of technical data, attributes and validity throughout the life cycle based of products.
- Ensures the definition, recording and storage of technical data.
- Participates in the verification of the completeness of technical data internally and externally.
- Ensures the return and the provision of technical data to the relevant functions.
- Record configuration baselines and provides status on identified gaps or omissions.
- Translates the decisions of the Configuration Team Lead into the tool as needed.
- Carries out the distribution and provision of contract deliverables to the customer
- Coordinates data distribution to AJISS team, suppliers and/or customers.
- Supports the development and daily requirements of the AJISS program’s Configuration/Data Management processes and activities
- Develops and delivers training in support of AJISS program Configuration/Data Management processes and activities and tools
- Provides leadership with respect to the use and administration of Configuration Management processes and tools

**Key Requirements**
- Possess a minimum of 1 year post-secondary diploma in administration or information management offered by a recognized technical institute and possess a minimum of 3 years of demonstrated configuration management experience or possess a high school diploma or equivalent and possess a minimum of 5 years of demonstrated configuration management experience.
- 5+ years of experience in data management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Must have high attention to detail and be comfortable with accurate, high volume data entry.
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and organize large amounts of data
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be flexible, adaptable and willing to learn
- High level of interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
- Able to work autonomously and to challenging deadlines
- Excellent problem solving and prioritizing skills

**Key Qualifications**
- A qualification in drafting, engineering or configuration management is desirable.
- 3 years of working in the field applicable to qualification/certification is desirable.
- Previous experience working with PLM software is desirable.
- Experience working on DND In Service Support contracts considered anRequires direct or indirect access to hardware, software, technology or technical data controlled under the Canadian Export Control List, the ITAR or the EAR
- Requires a positive Controlled Goods assessment as you will have direct access to hardware, software, technology or technical data controlled under the Canadian Controlled Goods Program
- Required to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance at the NATO Secret Level
