Rotation/Shifts- Days, 8 an 10 hour shifts.

- Basic Requirements-
Registered with the College of Medical Radiation Technologist of Ontario;
-Ability to perform IV set up, insertion and medication preparation;
-Intermediate data entry and advanced medical terminology;
-Eligible for certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or Sonography Canada;
-Ability to assist in invasive procedures;
-Knowledge of septic and aseptic techniques;
-Good knowledge of diagnostic ultrasound equipment both mobile and static;
-Certification in CPR;
-Good written, verbal and presentation skills;
-Sound judgement and problem-solving abilities;
-Good interpersonal skills.
- Preferred Qualifications-
Registered with Sonography Canada or ARDMS
-Experience in Cardiac Imaging;
-Experience in 2D, M-mode, Color, Flow, Pulsed wave and Continuous wave doppler examinations, Stress and Pharmacological Echo studies;
-Experience in performing Transesophageal echocardiagrams and contrast echos;
-Experience in evaluating and collating exams and providing pertinent patient information to the physician;
-Ability to use echo analysis software packages to enhance obtained information;
-Experience in a hospital environment;
-Certification in ACLS.
