- Basic Requirements-
Certification by Sonography Canada or the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers;
-Eligible for Registered Vascular Technologist/Sonographer Certification;
-Good knowledge of diagnostic ultrasound equipment both mobile and static;
-Good knowledge of vascular anatomy, physiology and pathology;
-Ability to accurately differentiate normal vs abnormal test results;
-Current CPR certification;
-Good written, verbal and presentation skills;
-Sound judgement and problem-solving abilities;
-Good interpersonal skills.
- Preferred Qualifications-
Vascular Sonography (CRVS or RVT) certification by Sonography Canada (SC) or the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS);
-Proficiency in English and French - oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).
