Sky Vison Lumber is looking for an Operations Manager to coordinate and oversee our organization’s operations ensuring all operations are carried out in an appropriate, cost-effective manner while improving operational management systems, processes, and best practices. **"Minimum 5 years experience is required in Lumber Industry"** Job Title: Operations Manager **Responsibilities**: - Responsible to supervise a team of 15-20 employees, and effectively manage our Production, Sales and shipping department. - Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way - Improve operational management systems, processes, and best practices - Purchase materials, plan inventory and oversee warehouse efficiency - Help the organization’s processes remain legally compliant - Formulate strategic and operational objectives - Examine financial data and use them to improve profitability - Manage budgets and forecasts - Perform quality controls and monitor production KPIs - Recruit, train and supervise staff - Find ways to increase quality of customer service - Liaise with other managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements - Estimate costs and prepare budgets - Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines - Monitor production to resolve issues - Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel (quality inspectors, workers etc.) - Determine number of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials etc.) - Approve maintenance work, purchasing of equipment etc. - Ensure output meets quality standards - Enforce health and safety precautions **Requirements**: - **Minimum 5 years work experience as Operations Manager or similar role in Lumber field.**: - Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management - Experience budgeting and forecasting - Familiarity with business and financial principles - Excellent communication skills - Leadership ability - Outstanding organizational skills - Degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field - Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines - Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization - Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently **Salary**: $90,000.00-$100,000.00 per year **Benefits**: - Dental care - Extended health care - Life insurance - On-site parking - Paid time off - RRSP match Flexible Language Requirement: - French not required Schedule: - Monday to Friday **Education**: - Bachelor's Degree (preferred) Ability to Commute: - Crossfield, AB T0M 0C1 (preferred) Ability to Relocate: - Crossfield, AB T0M 0C1: Relocate before starting work (preferred) Work Location: In person
