**Summary**:
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Maintain overall responsibility for the care and wellbeing of CSI Compressco compression assets
- Keep abreast of new equipment features and service bulletins on existing equipment; ensure distribution to all appropriate personnel
- Approve the ordering of company vehicles for service personnel
- Investigate and document major equipment failures. Recommend and implement procedures to avoid repeat failures
- Ensure that all company guidelines for working in a safe environment are strictly followed
- In conjunction with the Regional Safety Manager, attend and oversee monthly safety meetings when possible
- Review all required safety documentation for safety violations and/or accident reporting, and take appropriate action
- Ensure that customer safety guidelines are met and ensure that CSI's safety guidelines are met by CSI contractors
- Enforce CSI’s safety policy for company vehicles
- Think safety at all times
- Ensure that CSI complies with any and all environmental regulations
- Maintain environmental records relative to Business Unit operations such as engine emission output and disposal of waste oil and filters
- Supervision either directly or indirectly of Maintenance Superintendents, Product Support Superintendents, Master Service Technicians, field/shop personnel and area clerical and/or secretarial personnel
- Assign tasks and duties of direct reports as appropriate
- Generate performance appraisals for all direct reports
- Approve appropriate cost-of-living and/or merit compensation adjustments for Business Unit service personnel
- Assist in the recruitment and hiring of field personnel
- Resolve conflicts among subordinates. Initiate and document disciplinary action when appropriate
- Monitor and perform appropriate evaluations for the quarterly incentive plan
- Schedule vacations for direct reports
- Terminate service personnel when necessary
- Must be reliable, dependable, and able to work long hours if required
- Must be able to travel whenever necessary
- Must work well in a team-oriented environment
- Thorough understanding of the mechanical aspects of reciprocating and rotary screw natural gas compressors
- Thorough understanding of the mechanical aspects of natural gas-powered engines
- Understanding of ancillary compression and gas production-related equipment
- Interpersonal skills necessary to perform supervisory function and the ability to interact appropriately with customers
- Ability to communicate, both written and verbal
**Qualifications**:
**Education and/or Experience**:
- 5+ years in experience in the natural gas compression industry and/or management related position required
- Experience oil and gas manufacturing required
- Experience managing 10 to 15 employees in an office, manufacturing, and field environments required
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associates of Science in industry related program preferred
- Managing with a safety-first culture required
- Experience with Micro Soft D365, Field Service App and Operations and Finance modules
- Experience with Alberta Boiler Safety Association, pressure vessels and piping certification procedures
- Must have and maintain an acceptable driving record in line with CSI requirements
- Must be able to pass all DOT drug-related testing
**Financial Administration**:
- Assist the Maintenance Superintendents and the Product Support Superintendents in the control of overtime
- Review spending practices of field personnel
- Review Field Service Orders: ensure that the entry of all Field Service Order information is correct and that area personnel are trained in the correct methods of completing Field Service Orders
- Initiate appropriate warranty claims
- Review coding of charges and approve invoices for those charges
- Assist the Business Unit Manager in the review of the monthly financial statements and recommend appropriate corrections
- Assist the Business Unit Manger with generation of the Area’s annual Business Plan
**Training**:
- Ensure that field personnel are appropriately trained to maintain and repair their assigned equipment
- Monitor the progress of each service employee and schedule appropriate training classes as warranted
- Attend training sessions to keep abreast of new equipment and enhance management and supervisory skills
- Ensure that all direct and indirect subordinates have been appropriately updated on company policies and procedures. Ensure also that they have been in contact with Human Resources Department personnel for new employee orientation, if applicable.
- Identify and train potential successors
**Sales and Customer Relations**:
- Respond to the service needs of CSI’s customers in a cooperative, responsive manner
- Establish relationships with customers’ field personnel
- Pass any leads obtained at the field level on to the appropriate sales personnel or to the Business Unit Manager
