Burquitlam Liquor Store is currently seeking a reliable, customer-focused, and motivated **Part-Time Liquor Store Associate** to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with **retail experience** (liquor store experience preferred) who thrives in a **fast-paced environment**, values **teamwork**, and takes pride in delivering **exceptional customer service**.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide outstanding customer service: assist with locating products, make recommendations, and carry merchandise
- Check identification to ensure compliance with liquor and tobacco laws
- Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately and efficiently
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a courteous and professional manner
- Maintain store cleanliness and organization including sales floor, cooler, and back stock areas
- Stock shelves and coolers, rotate products, and set up promotional displays
- Receive and unpack deliveries, including lifting up to 17kg
- Package and stock ice, break down cardboard, and manage recycling/garbage
- Open and close the store if designated as a keyholder
- Support store loss prevention efforts and collaborate with team to meet store goals
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Must be **19 years of age or older**:

- **Serving It Right** certificate required
- Previous **retail experience** required (liquor store experience preferred)
- Strong references from previous roles
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift and move items up to **40lbs (17kg)**:

- Must be a **fast learner**, adaptable, and detail-oriented
- Strong **work ethic** and a **team player**:

- Available to work **evenings, weekends**, and **holidays**:

- Proficient in **spoken and written English**

Pay: $20.45 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 32 per week
