We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Consultant to join Sun Life’s Enterprise Data Governance Office (EDGO) to participate on projects related to the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) Guideline E-21 on operational risk management and resiliency. This is a 9 month contract. (fixed term starting from hire date to December 31, 2025 end date).

**What will you do?**
- Analyze current business data, processes, and systems to identify gaps in E-21 compliance
- Participate in the design and implementation of solutions to enhance operational risk management frameworks in alignment with E-21
- Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, risk, compliance, and business units
- Develop process documentation, and RACI diagrams
- Work closely with members of the Enterprise Data Governance Office, and Information Owners and Stewards within the business units.
- Capture critical data elements’ metadata, lineage and business rules
- Provide guidance and training to team members, Information Owners, Information Stewards and others on E-21 requirements

**What do you need to succeed?**
- 7+ years of experience in business systems consulting for financial institutions
- Certification in data governance or data management (e.g., CDMP, DGCA)
- Professional certifications such as CISA, CRISC, or PMP preferred
- Deep knowledge of OSFI E-21 guideline and Information Management and Operational risk management practices
- Understanding of Metadata Management and Data Quality principles
- Experience with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica)
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA)
- Experience in change management and process improvement methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Experience with risk management software and tools
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to bring opinions, comments and thoughts forward
- Ability to drive discussions and manage business meetings to meet objectives
- Strong knowledge and experience using business analysis principles and industry best practices (eg. business process modeling, conceptual data modeling) and tools, highly developed analysis, research, organization and problem solving skills
