**MACHINE BUILDER / ASSEMBLER**

**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
This position involves assembling various components and then installing them into new machines and equipment.

**ABOUT YOU**:
**DUTIES**:

- Read and understand engineering drawings and component specifications in order to recognize parts and part specifications for assembly.
- Assemble and install mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components per work instructions.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic systems with assistance from engineering/service personnel.
- Perform basic tests on installed components to ensure they meet the appropriate standards.
- Assemble, fit and install prefabricated & purchased parts to form subassemblies or finished products per mechanical assembly drawings, or as directed by Supervisor
- Assemble hydraulic systems including hoses, fittings, and valves per schematic drawings/ specification
- Operate various pneumatic, hydraulic, electric, and mechanical tools in compliance with applicable safety standards and best practices
- Operate material handling devices such as cranes and lift trucks in a safe manner.
- Participate in workplace improvement initiatives.
- Previous experience needed in equipment repair and/or assembly.
- The ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Pipe fitting
- Welding

**EXPERIENCE**:

- 3+ years building/assembling machinery
- 3+ years welding
