Position Job Title: Data Analyst

Location: Vancouver House

Reports To: Business Intelligence Analyst

Position Summary

Under the guidance of the Business Intelligence Analyst, the Data Analyst ensures the integrity of the university’s enrolment management data through monitoring accuracy and participating in initiatives aimed at both streamlining data entry processes and improving overall efficacy as well as provide resources and support as required for data-entry staff to perform their jobs effectively. Additionally, they support the preparation of reports, presentations, and other documents that communicate data-findings to various stakeholders.

Responsibilities*
- Ensures the accuracy of data in the student management system by conducting regular audits to clean data, fill gaps, and reduce data disparity
- Identifies issues in data entry processes that lead to errors, collaborating with appropriate staff and/or supervisors to address resolutions in a timely manner
- Supports data entry staff and/or supervisors with queries regarding system issues, reporting needs, and/or questions
- Supports the development and revision of reporting processes for increased automation and efficacy
- Facilitates the preparation of data-driven reports from multiple systems, summarizing and preparing the visualization of data

Position Requirements

To be successful in the Business Support Analyst position, the individual must be committed to developing, maintaining, and demonstrating the following:

- An ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Knowledge of concepts and processes related to higher education institutions
- Strong computer literacy, including full competency in Microsoft Office programs

Education and experience:

- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science etc.) from a recognized post-secondary institution
- Or a combination of education and experience directly related and/or supportive to the duties and responsibilities

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
