**Overview**: The Nurse Practitioner Association of Alberta (NPAA) is the advocacy body and voice for nurse practitioners in the province of Alberta. The Program Manager will play a key role in supporting the operations of the NPAA and the Nurse Practitioner Primary Care Program (NPPCP). Reporting to the Executive Director, this role will focus on managing grant-funded programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and driving the success of key initiatives.
**Position Summary**: The Program Manager will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of programs and initiatives, with a particular emphasis on grant funded activities. This position will serve as a liaison between the NPAA, external stakeholders, and program participants, ensuring timely communication and effective implementation of strategic objectives. The Program Manager will play a key role in the evaluation of program outcomes, supporting the optimization of processes and facilitating collaboration among internal and external stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Coordinate the implementation of grant-funded programs, ensuring adherence to defined objectives, timelines, and budgets.
- Monitor program progress, identifying challenges and recommending solutions to maintain alignment with organizational goals.
- Support applicants of the NPPCP by providing guidance and resources to facilitate program participation.
- Act as a point of contact for program participants, stakeholders, and community partners.
- Foster peer relationships with government agencies, healthcare providers, and other organizations to support program success.
- Represent the NPAA in meetings and events, as assigned, promoting the association's mission and initiatives.
- Coordinate tracking and reporting of grant-funded activities in collaboration with the Executive Director.
- Ensure compliance with grant requirements, maintaining accurate documentation and tracking progress against deliverables.
- Collaborate with NPAA committees and stakeholders to design and enhance member-focused initiatives, including incentives, benefits, and support programs.
- Assist with planning and executing conferences, workshops, and other events to engage members and promote professional development.
- Provide administrative and operational support to committees, hosting events and developing new initiatives.
- Gather feedback from members on existing programs and services, using insights to recommend and implement improvements.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and ensure accurate record keeping and follow-up on action items.
- Support the Executive Director and Board committees with operational and administrative tasks as needed.
- Contribute to managing social media platforms and communication efforts related to programs.

**Qualifications**:
- Education level: bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience in program or project management, preferably within healthcare, non-profits, or professional associations.
- Knowledge of healthcare systems, particularly the role of nurse practitioners in Alberta.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, timelines, and deliverables effectively.
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in document editing, record keeping, and communication tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
