Financial Manager

**Responsibilities**:
- Oversee all financial aspects of our child care operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the City of Toronto and the Ministry of Education.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and board members, providing insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director, Board and program supervisors and administrators to develop annual budgets and monitor expenditure against budgetary targets.
- Manage payroll processes, including coordinating provincial wage enhancement programs and ensuring accurate and timely payments to staff.
- Stay updated on changes to Ontario child care regulations, CWELCC guidelines, and provincial funding programs, and ensure compliance across all financial activities.
**Qualifications**
- Experience in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Diploma or degree in finance, accounting or equivalent an asset
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the child care or non-profit sector.
- Knowledge of Ontario child care regulations, CWELCC guidelines, and TCS/Ontario funding programs.
- Proven experience in budget planning, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes and experience managing provincial wage enhancement programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office suite.
