Gallery 1 Furniture has an opening for a full time Custodian. The Custodian is responsible for ensuring our store is in a clean and orderly condition. Gallery 1 Furniture is part of Atlantic Canada's largest home furnishing center and is one of three great stores. The position extends to all stores and common areas.

Responsibilities:

- Sweeping and mopping all hard floor with disinfectant;
- Vacuuming carpets;
- Dusting of all hard surfaces;
- Cleaning bathrooms and sinks (this includes toilets, faucets, light fixtures, etc.)
- Regular disinfecting of high touch points;
- Performing routine inspections of store;
- Notifying Store Manager of any deficiencies or need for repairs;
- Maintaining proper inventory of cleaning supplies;
- Abiding all health and safety regulations;
- Performing other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Previous professional cleaning experience strongly preferred (commercial cleaning a strong asset);
- Ability to work independently;
- Ability to stand and bend for extended periods;
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds;
- Criminal background check is required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 40 per week

**Salary**: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
