**Overview**
The Intake Coordinator plays a crucial role in the healthcare setting, serving as the first point of contact for patients and ensuring a smooth and efficient intake process. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of medical terminology and office procedures. The Intake Coordinator will work closely with both patients and healthcare providers to facilitate appointments, gather necessary information, and maintain accurate records.

**Duties**
- **Eligibility Verification**:Verify eligibility for specific programs or services based on established criteria.
- **Scheduling and Coordination**:Intake Coordinators schedule appointments for Nurse Practitioner, Physician and coordinates referrals/schedules for Allied Health providers
- **Documentation and Record Keeping**:Maintain accurate records of client information, including medical history, personal details, and eligibility assessments.
- **Patient/Client Communication**:Communicate with clients, answer their questions, and provide guidance throughout the intake process.
- **Customer Service**:Provide excellent customer service, ensuring clients feel welcome and supported.
- **Data Entry and Clerical Tasks**:Intake Coordinators may also be responsible for data entry, paperwork management, and other clerical tasks.

**Skills**
- Proficiency in front desk operations within a medical or dental office environment.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems like Walnut, JaneApp, InputHeath is preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals.
- Excellent organizational skills with an ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with patients and staff.
- Experience with administrative duties including scheduling, data entry, and record management.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment and phone systems efficiently.

Pay: $16.55-$25.51 per hour
