Sunday Blooms is Guelph's unique Botanical gift shop and gathering place. We are a cafe, florist and modern general store, offering flowers, plants, decor and more. In a world of online shopping and big fox stores, we have served the Guelph community for over a decade. Our team and our clients are the heart of Sunday Blooms and we pride ourselves on providing welcoming and authentic interactions with everyone who comes through our doors, while maintaining high standards from each cup of coffee to every flower bouquet.

**Who we’re looking for...**

Each shift, this person is on-time and ready to dive into their day. They are efficient, focused, and organized, so getting through their task list is a breeze. They are friendly and approachable, and quickly get to know the daily coffee orders of our regular customers. They are an excellent communicator, and customers always receive attentive and expert assistance from them. They aren’t afraid of hard work - and are able to remain calm, cool, and collected through some very busy days in the shop.

**The Day-to-Day**
- Prepare delicious and high quality beverages in an efficient and friendly manner
- Operate the snack/meal, and ice cream areas in a way that provides high quality food and beverages and a welcoming customer experience.
- Greet, engage with, serve customers, and promote a welcoming environment that feels like a natural extension of the Guelph community
- Perform opening and closing procedures to set the team up for success each day
- Print, pick and pack daily orders with accuracy and attention to detail
- Operate the POS and cash register, accurately handle financial transactions, and facilitate a seamless cash out experience for customers
- Keep up-to-date on all product and coffee knowledge to be able to advise and assist customers effectively
- Manage customer expectations through prompt and courteous communication, and ensure engagements are friendly, professional, and knowledgeable
- Other tasks as directed by management

**Qualifications**
- Minimum of an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a coffee environment
- Knowledge of and interest in skincare products, coffee, plants and flowers
- Strong interpersonal relationship building with customers, coworkers, and vendors
- Demonstrated ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative independently and work well with the team
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Knowledge or previous experience working with flowers considered an asset
- Valid G-class license and access to a reliable vehicle considered an asset
- Ability to learn new software and work effectively on computer systems. Knowledge or previous experience working with Shopify POS is considered an asset.

**Hours and Compensation**

At this time, Sunday Blooms is open between the hours of 8am-5pm, so shifts are scheduled between the hours of 7:30am-6:30pm. Evening and weekend availability will be required.

Pay: $18.00 per hour
