STEMCELL’s Testing and Integration Business Operations Products team is looking for a new Research Associate If you are interested in a lab based role with the opportunity to work with various stakeholders, product groups, and laboratory techniques, this opportunity may be for you
As Research Associate you will be responsible for planning and performing testing on products in cell biology systems to confirm product quality and functionality. This includes both existing products for the purpose of generating marketing data or investigating product issues, as well as potential new products for the purpose of selecting appropriate suppliers.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Contribute to project, goal, and experiment planning and execution
- Acquire reagents, perform lab-based experiments, troubleshoot unexpected outcomes, complete data analysis, and present of results in slide and report formats
- Onboard new techniques with limited training
- Provide training to other lab members on workflows and assays
**Knowledge and Qualifications**
- BSc with 6+ years of relevant experience, MSc with 2+ years of experience, or PhD with little to no work experience; industry experience is preferred
- Practical experience in sterile cell culture and cell analysis techniques (live/dead cell counting, flow cytometry, microscopy, and imaging)
- Hands on experience with Western Blots, 3D cell culture, and/or pluripotent stem cells is preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot issues, optimize protocols, and write reports
- Proficient in Microsoft office or Google Workspace, experience with Graphpad is considered an asset
