**Work Arrangement**:Flexible, mostly in-office but possible to have some days remote.

**Pay Range**:$42,100 - $55,100; pay is dependent on year of study and related experience

**Duration**:Four (4) months, May 5, 2025 - August 22, 2025

**Hours Per Week**:40 hours per week, M-F

**Your Co-Op Opportunity at ARC’TERYX**:
As the Materials Research and Testing Co-opstudent, you support the Materials Innovation team with coordinating lab and field testing of break-through materials solutions. By using the design of experiment and statistical analysis approach, you drive research and testing of innovative materials, analyze collected data and communicate findings. In this role, you contribute to our overarching goals of developing the most sustainable and circular materials without sacrificing durability and performance.

**If you were a Materials Research and Testing Co-op Student now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing**:
- Collaborating with the team to build in-dept technical knowledge of materials engineering and performance attributes
- Supporting research and information gathering for material technology topics relevant to the team’s priority projects
- Supporting the lab testing specialist in the evaluation of physical and functional performance of raw materials
- Operating the têxtiles testing equipment following the established internalprocedures and/orthe American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) andAmerican Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists AATCCstandards
- Recording results and remarks in test reports and notifying the appropriate team member of your findings and suggestions
- Summarizing results and presentinglearnings to cross-functional teams
- Keeping the materials innovation samples space organized and functional
- Shipping and receiving samples, inspecting them and processing them for testing, sample making, field testing, etc.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams like Raw Materials Development, Compliance and Quality to ensure that all new toolbox materialsare properly tested and validatedand follow the seasonal handover process

**Here are some of the things you will learn by the end of your Co-Op placement**:
- You’ll learn to operate the different têxtile testing equipment in our innovative lab and learn to follow AATCC and ASTM standards and procedures
- You’ll also learn to use the Centric system and can expect to use other software and tools like Miro, Smartsheet, Microsoft Teams, Loop, Excel and PowerPoint
- You’ll have a strong understanding of the complete materials innovation development process from research and ideation, supplier interactions, materials engineering, development trials, lab and field-testing evaluation and final validation
- You’ll learn how to measure and analyze test results from both lab and field testing to evaluate the overall performance of a material
- You’ll learn how our innovation team works within the brand and how we collaborate with other cross-functional teams to adopt and integrate new and innovative materials into our in-line design concepts

**Are you our next Materials Research and Testing Co-op Student?**:
- You have completed at least 2 years of education in têxtile science, materials engineering, product design or in a similar field
- You are familiar with materials lab testing
- You have strong organization skills and a solid understanding of têxtiles, able to maintain physical product storage areas
- You understand materials and têxtiles, including fibers, yarns and têxtile constructions
- You have a basic understanding of têxtile manufacturing, including dyeing and finishing
- You have experience with designing experiments and the ability to collect and analyze data effectively and efficiently
- You have strong summarizing and communication skills
- You have strong organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple tasks within tight deadlines
- You have the physical ability to handle small boxes and rolls of fabric, etc.
