**Our Company**

Burgener Research is a family-run Canadian company that has been manufacturing and selling nebulizers for analytical spectroscopy for over 30 years. We pride ourselves on supplying high-quality products to companies worldwide that utilize ICP-OES and ICP-MS technology, but don't let that scare you - this position does not require any analytical training or prior nebulizer knowledge.

We are seeking an Intern Quality Controller to join our team in Sidney, BC for the summer. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our parts meet the highest quality standards before they go into production. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will play a vital role in maintaining our reputation for excellence. Training will be provided.

The start date for this position could be any time in June, with work concluding at the end of August or mid-September. There is a potential that the role could continue very part time into the Fall school term.

**Responsibilities**
- Conduct thorough inspections of parts to ensure compliance with quality standards with a stereo microscope.
- Use small tools to correct various fittings and accessory parts needed for nebulizers.
- Production of gas lines and sample lines for nebulizer shipments.

**Qualifications and Skillset Needed**
- Extreme attention to detail.
- Experience with microscopes.
- Dexterity and stable hands.
- Must be comfortable in a quiet and self-directed environment.
- Desire to learn.
- Ability to travel to our Sidney office.

**What we Offer**

While the quality control work is very monotonous, staff are welcome to bring headphones and listen to music, podcasts etc., and the dress code is casual. We have very flexible hours within the week (no evenings and weekends). Our office offers a very relaxed and self directed work environment where we care more about the quality of what is done rather than how quickly a task is completed. We pride ourselves on our positive work environment and collaborative and supportive team.

Interviews will be held in two separate stages: a sit-down interview discussion, and then a practical interview with a microscope and tools.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual, Internship / Co-op
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
