**Role**

Reporting to the CFO, the Controller will be empowered to manage and oversee all the financial functions of the organization, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, ERP system direction and maintenance, and budget and forecasts preparation and analysis. The Controller will also work closely with the CFO on the development of internal control policies and procedures and on financial risk management.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage all accounting functions and operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
- Supervision, and mentoring of all accounting staff
- Driving the financial reporting, managerial reporting, and financial performance assessment of the Company including MD&A on budget and KPI variances
- Direct the timely monthly accounting close and the preparation and publishing of GAAP monthly financial statements
- Oversight, management, and direction of the Company’s ERP and other finance IT systems
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and driving the analysis of variances and MD&A
- Manage the preparation of provincial, federal, and international regulatory reporting and tax filings and ensure that compliance with all regulatory and governmental reporting is maintained
- Management of the annual audit process and the production of the yearend financial statements
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Additional Controller related duties as necessary

**Requirements**:

- Proven work experience as a Controller
- 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
- Experience working in accounting/finance with a manufacturing, production, or system integration company running an ERP system
- Thorough knowledge and experience with ASPE is required. Previous experience working with IFRS is an asset
- International accounting and tax experience is an asset
- Experience with multi-currency accounting
- Degree in commerce/business, accounting, or finance
- CPA designation in good standing
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
