The Textiles Operator will be responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient operation of a variety of machines. Required to maintain good housekeeping on the plant floor, removal of excess material and packaging ready for safe storage or disposal. In addition, he/she responsible for producing the right quantity and quality of product according to prescribed instruction on various machines which could include:

- Weaving
- Knitting
- Rope Machine
- Narrow Fabric Textiles

The Operator will be required to perform functions such as cleaning and running the machine(s). Other responsibilities include making adjustments and calling for additional resources as required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Maintain high production numbers for daily goals.
- Set up and operate specific machinery and make running adjustments as required.
- Follow running instructions.
- Report all machinery malfunctions to immediate Supervisor.
- Produce product with an emphasis on quality and accuracy.
- Complete all assigned quality checks.
- Responsible for keeping work area clean and orderly to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
- Adhere and comply with legal requirements and ISO Quality Program and procedures, Company policies and Health and Safety requirements.
- Participate in training and cross training, improvement initiatives including health and safety and quality improvement.
- Adhere to all workplace safety policies, compliances and regulations.
- Use all required safety equipment and PPE, e.g. Steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses / goggles, etc.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Vaccination against COVID-19
- Previous experience as a General Labourer is an asset.
- Able to work as a functioning member of a team
- Strong work ethic
- Flexible with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
- Able to effectively communicate verbally in English.
- Commitment to quality and safety.
- Able to work well under time pressure
- This position requires PPE including safety boots/shoes WORKING CONDITIONS
- Physical ability to lift up to 30lb.
- Manual dexterity required
- Safety equipment may be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.
- Overtime as required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $18.00 per hour
