Booking and Reprocessing Specialist

This position is responsible for the booking of incoming Medical and/or Surgical equipment to the Service Department. Oversee the cleaning, disinfecting and/or sterilizing of any incoming Medical and/or Surgical equipment. Processing of product returns in accordance with company Standard Operating Procedures.

**Job Duties**:

- Book and validate all incoming Medical and/or Surgical equipment in the appropriate Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
- Cleaning, disinfecting and/or sterilizing all incoming Medical and/or Surgical equipment
- Action open issue log and invalid exceptions on a daily basis
- Ensuring the instrument cases are labeled and storing of cases in the appropriate areas
- Perform periodic maintenance on equipment used in the CDS department
- Maintain and improve productivity level to achieve daily/monthly Key Performance Indicator (KPI).
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and ensure that personal protective equipment is used and maintained at all times
- Ensures completion of accurate service records and immediate documentation of Discrepant Material Notices (DMN).
- Proactively participates in the quality systems, quality improvement and 5S programs as directed by the Supervisor.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures.
- May be required to perform duties in support of business needs by working in other areas outside their primary responsibilities.

**Job Requirements**:
**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**:

- High school diploma required. A graduate of a community college (1-2 year program) with a technology concentration preferred.
- Willing to work overtime as required.
- Service responsibilities include the handling of products and equipment that may have potentially come in to contact with blood or bodily fluids.
- Olympus Canada requires that all employees working in areas that may be exposed to these risks either provide proof of the Twinrix (Hepatitis A and B) vaccination or sign a waiver accepting the possible risk of exposure from not being vaccinated. **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Experience in technical repairs with mechanical and/or electronic equipment preferred.
- Effective and timely communication both oral and written.
- Must have good interpersonal skills.
- Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office and proficiency with other software programs.
- Able to perform required duties with minimum supervision.
- Knowledge of Health Canada regulations desirable.
