Position: Inventory Control Team Lead
**Job Type**: Full Time
Hourly Rate: $20.25/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Language Requirements: English
Location: Richmond, B.C.
Working Conditions: On site
Purpose:
Responsible for inventory control functions of all outgoing/incoming products from the warehouse. Leads activities of company warehouse personnel. Provides positive interaction with the employees is critical as this ensures getting work out on time, efficiently, and accurately. Ensures storage, and inventory control area performed in an efficient manner. Take precautions to protect warehouse contents against loss. Retains and reviews warehouse documents and reports. Conducts Warehouse operations in accordance with established procedures and policies and keeps management informed of Warehouse activities. Completes miscellaneous support functions and supports area personnel as required.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensures adequate inventory of materials and products in accordance with inventory cycles and organizational philosophy.
- Conducts daily inventory analysis to solve inventory problems.
- Administers inventory control procedures.
- Coordinates and manages daily physical cycle counts.
- Provides training to the inventory team when needed
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Works closely with Management on inventory related projects such as RF, Product Layout and other duties as assigned.
- Perform duties in accordance with provincial health and safety regulations.
- Performs other job duties as required.
Job Requirements:
Education/Certification:
- High school diploma
**Experience**:
- Minimum three (3) years experience in a warehouse, inventory control, or related setting.
- System implementation preferred.
- Previous experience working in a Produce environment is considered an asset.
- Experience operating a Walkie Rider/Electric Pallet Jack desired.
Skills and Abilities:
- Lead the daily process and activities of the Inventory Control team.
- Able to coordinate, organize, and direct team activities.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Observe all safety policies and procedures. Embrace a high regard for safety, leading and serving as a role model for others.
- Must be highly organized, able to multi-task, prioritize, and possess strong time management skills.
- Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing with supervisors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company.
- Perform all duties and responsibilities in a highly ethical manner and in accordance with Company policies and procedures. Lead and serve as a role model for others in the organization by consistent demonstration of high ethical standards.
- Performs other job duties as required.
Physical Environment / Demands:
- Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled warehouse environment.
- Incumbent is required to stoop, bend, twist, and reach in order to complete job duties.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs in a continuous manner.
