Company Background
Special Risk Insurance Managers Ltd. is an industry leading Managing General Agent established over 20 years ago. Our roots derive from a long serving sports, entertainment and lifestyle insurance provider (Sports-Can Insurance Consultants) and we have grown to encompass a wide range of niche and specialty products including aviation, marine, specialty casualty, accident, AD&D and hard to place property.
We are looking to add to our growing team with a full-time permanent processor.
This position is suitable for those without any industry knowledge, but who hold some form of customer service experience as this is an entry-level position.
Due to the ongoing circumstances with the Covid-19 pandemic, you must have the ability to work from home for the foreseeable future, with the ability to work in a hybrid home-office model via desk booking system.
**Duties**:

- Process/typing a variety of insurance policies & related documents
- Process policy changes, certificates & endorsements as required
- Assist underwriting staff with servicing files & attaching pertinent information to files
- Clerical duties, such as electronic filing as required
- Relief reception as required on occasion
Minimum Job Qualifications & Key Personal Attributes:

- Strong organizational & time management skills to complete assignments effectively and within structured timelines
- Strong writing/language & communication skills
- Keen eye for detail
- Interest in being involved with community outreach and company culture
- Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Office 365 & Google Drive
- High school diploma
- Customer service experience

Permanent (37.5 hrs/week)
Location: British Columbia
Starting Salary: $36,000-38,000
