**The Opportunity**

The QC technician works across departmental boundaries on issues related to inventory optimization, materials flow, supply chain management and demand planning.

They will work with the team to establish, maintain and monitor inventory and supply chain processes to help RAD achieve its goals for efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction. They will work with their team to ensure quality control procedure are completed on all parts moving into finished inventory. You will be working to inspect mechanical parts, read drawings, understand our inspection procedures. equipment..

FTE at 40 hours per week.

**The Qualifications**
- 1-3 years’ experience in a mechanical manufacturing environment in the area of inventory management, materials planning, and/or supply chain management would be considered an asset.
- Aptitude for mechanical inspection of machined parts to drawings.
- Knowledge of ERP systems, MRP functionality, production planning, inventory planning and production scheduling.
- Knowledge of inventory management processes and best practices.
- Ability to work with tight deadlines and still get it right.
- Must be able to read and understand mechanical drawings and finishing requirements. Must have the aptitude to understand and inspect machined parts to drawings.

**The Role and Responsibilities**
- Ensures quality of internal parts meets defined standards and requirements.
- Ensures integrity and accuracy of the inventory management system.
- Works co-operatively with other departments to optimize delivery times of parts and assemblies, communicating cross-functionality to achieve targets.
- Attends tactical department meetings to ensure production targets are being met.
- Protects the company against wasteful, inefficient, unsafe, fraudulent practices.
- Records and maintains accurate written procedures for all inventory control processes.

**Salary**: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
