_Farmfed, a division of K&R Poultry Ltd, is family owned business operating for 30 years. We are a poultry processing company in Abbotsford, BC. We are currently seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our team on a full-time basis._
- Job Requirements:_
- Good command of the English language.
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
- Punctual, dependable and courteous.
- Detail-oriented with strong record keeping skills.
- Good time-management, multi-tasking and priority setting skills.
- Self-directed problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable performing repetitive tasks, such as pre operational inspection and document filing
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Available to work overtime, as necessary
- Key Responsibilities:_
- Understand and follow Quality System documents relevant to responsibilities
- Perform physical, microbiological, and sensory analysis on products; conduct validation sampling
- Prepare and ship samples for testing (microbiological, water etc.).
- Environmental monitoring (air and water quality).
- Maintain logs and records as required by quality procedures and data entry.
- Investigate problems, take remedial action as required and identify actions to prevent recurrence.
- Prioritize daily workload to accommodate due dates.
- Participate in internal and external audits when requested.
- Document verification, document control.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Education Requirements:_
- Experience:_
- Experience in food industry is not a must, but it will be considered an asset.
- Schedule:_
- Day shift (full-time). Monday to Friday, occasional Saturday. Some variation in days of production.

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
