Teamwork, honesty, and professionalism are values we look for in potential team members. **Job Purpose**: The Service Advisor is the first point of contact with the service department. This individual assesses the bike(s) brought in for service and recommends what service will be necessary to allow them to enjoy the trails again. They will recommend service packages and components and accessories needed for the bicycle. **Who you are**: - You are energetic and positive - You work well in a team environment - You are excited at the opportunity to learn something new - You love a challenge. You know how to handle the toughest situations with patience and a positive attitude - You are a quick thinker in a fast-paced environment - You have the perfect balance between friendliness and professionalism when handling customers - You love biking and other outdoor activities **What you'll do**: - As the first point of contact in the service department, you will greet customers and address their concerns with their bike(s) - Advise customers when parts need to be replaced and recommend service and gear that will improve the bike's performance. - Write detailed work orders that highlight issues with the bike, recommended servicing, parts needing to be replaced, and comment on any other details the mechanic would need to know before working on the bike - Performing most minor adjustments and installations - Checking over new bike purchases and installing accessories - Books service in to achieve productivity goals without overbooking - Special order parts in Ascend for work orders - Processes service-related warranties and warranty related repairs - Cleaning the service department and maintaining an organized and tidy working area  - Ability to do closing store procedures, such as counting cash and performing end-of-day - Merchandising and re-stocking service-related parts and accessories - Following up with customers who have previously had service from lead lists - Ongoing online training with S-Tec, SRAM Technical University, Rocky Mountain Academy, and Giant Myagi - Trek U training to maintain "Guide" status  **What you've done** - Education Level - High School Diploma or equivalent - Specific skills: Attention to detail and time management. Ability to conduct themselves professionally with both customers and coworkers. - Personal characteristics: Able to work under pressure and handle tight deadlines. Must have a positive attitude and be driven to assist every customer and recommend the best service options available for their bicycle. - Physical abilities: Can lift boxes or items around 30 pounds and is comfortable working on ladders.  **What you'll receive** - Competitive Wages. - Comprehensive Training - Vacation pay is added to each paycheque. - Great discounts through Cranky's and our distributors. - Unlimited learning opportunities.
