Optical Assistant/receptionist

Responsibilities:
- Creates a welcoming environment to all clients by ensuring the Zoom Optical customer service culture is executed
- Schedule appointments and manage patient records
- Collaborate with optometrists and ophthalmologists to ensure proper patient care
- General Administrative work
- Assist customers in selecting eyeglasses
- Maintain inventory of eyewear and contact lenses
- Maintain store cleanliness
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated initiative, good organizational and communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients
- Proficiency in MS word, MS excel, MS power point
- Understanding of aseptic technique for maintaining cleanliness in the dispensing area
- Experience with insurance billing is a plus
- Detail-oriented, accuracy is highly required
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Additional pay:
- Overtime pay

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (required)
**Experience**:
- retail: 1 year (required)
- administrative: 1 year (preferred)
