The Multiple Sclerosis Research Program is currently looking for a **Research Coordinator II**. In this position the individual will be responsible for the coordination of various research studies and the maintenance of a clinical database. Specific tasks include planning and running study visits, coordinating data collection and transfer with both on
- and off-site collaborators, and regularly reviewing data for quality adherence.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Overseeing the collection and transcription of study-related data and/or reviewing data
- Assisting investigators in the initiation of new research
- Preparing REB submissions relative to the initiation and conduct of individual studies
- Preparing and coordinating research contracts and privacy submissions for relevant research studies
- Designing consent forms and revisions
- Conducting interviews with research participants using standardized questionnaires
- Collecting data via phone calls and in-person interviews
- Administration of the letter of information and consent form to study participants
- Coordinating with participants and/or resources to support the completion of research visits.
- Ongoing chart review to populate a clinical database of MS patients
- Fulfill dataset queries to support research, quality improvement initiatives, and/or other projects.
- May participate directly in the design, development, and inspection of technical projects.
- Overseeing the ongoing collection, tabulation and analysis of study related data and ongoing review and development of study databases
- Coordinates, trains, mentors, delegates tasks (including overseeing quality control of submitted assignments) to Research Assistants, volunteers, students, and casual staff
- Ensuring appropriate regulations are adhered to in the conduct of research
- Present research related information including written study reports where necessary

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science field with 5 years related research experience, or Master’s Degree in Health Science field with 3 years related research experience, or demonstrable equivalent combination of specialized education and experience.
- Familiarity with medical/healthcare terminology.
- Previous experience managing large datasets is preferred.
- Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) experience, and database software
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and attention to professionalism are required.
- Excellent attention to detail and proven ability to learn new skills.
- Certification in phlebotomy considered an asset, but not required.
- Superior organizational skills to manage multiple projects in a timely manner and flexibility to adapt to changing workload.
- Professionalism and self-motivation.
- Good personal and program time/detail management skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
