**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct swim lessons for individuals and groups, ensuring that each participant receives personalized attention based on their skill level.
- Educate students on water safety practices and the importance of swimming skills.
- Develop lesson plans that cater to various age groups and skill levels, ensuring progression in swimming abilities.
- Monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their techniques.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment in and around the pool area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress and any areas for improvement.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

**Experience**:

- Previous experience as a swim instructor or in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Strong knowledge of swimming techniques and water safety regulations.
- Ability to work well with children and adults, fostering a supportive learning atmosphere.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively educate students.
**Certifications**:

- LSS Swim Instructor certification
- Standard First aid CPR C
- National Lifeguard certification preferred but not mandatory

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 - 15 per week
