Sales & Marketing Associate

We are a national distributor of fine wine accessories and tabletop products. Our portfolio comprises of several award winning products including: fine European crystalware, distinctive wine, beer, cocktail and kitchen accessories and much more.
We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated and people-oriented individual to join our team. As a sales and marketing associate, you will identify and develop opportunities for our unique award winning products to retailers and other B2B channels. In addition, you will be responsible in developing and implementing marketing strategies targeting B2B and B2C, as part of overall brand marketing strategies.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to achieve company goals
- Source and develop client relationships through cold calling, phone and face-to-face product sales
- Sell consultatively and make product recommendation to prospects and clients on the benefits of product lines
- Manage product mix and maximize all opportunities in order to increase profitability and market share
- Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and customer preferences
- Process customer orders, estimates and handle customers queries
- Provide after sale customer service, troubleshoot and provide any necessary ongoing support
- Create product/brand awareness and reach out to various journalists and critics to secure product reviews in magazines and trade publications
- Update and maintain website, SEO, blog sites
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance using analytics tools such as Google Analytics
- Attend and work in trade shows, events, product demonstration and ability to multitask in various office tasks as required.
- Experience in sales and/or marketing
- Experience in tabletop retail, foodservice and/or promotional industries an asset
- Strong oral and written communication skills essential
- Have excellent customer service, time management and interpersonal skills
- Outgoing, result oriented and energetic personality
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Proactively seek areas of improvement and opportunities for expansion
- Strong skills in organization, multitasking, project management and attention to detail
- Excellent presentation and listening skills with positive and energetic phone presence
- Knowledge of wine, alcohol, kitchen related industries an asset
- Knowledge of Microsoft office suite
- Knowledge and experience in using various graphics designing software an asset
- Proficiency in WordPress or other content management systems (CMS)
- Ability to analyze data and draw actionable insights using tools like Google Analytics
- Knowledge in Photography/videography an asset
- Bilingual (English/French) an asset
This is a full time permanent position in Oakville, paying competitive salary. This job requires occasional traveling to visit customers and attending trade shows. You must have a valid driving license and your own reliable transportation.
