**JOB SUMMARY**

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Develop passive and active-position targeted sourcing strategies.
- Provide support in the execution of large scale recruitment campaigns for temporary and student labourer position and Firefighter recruitment campaign.
- Act as the main point of contact for internal/external job applicants, providing consultation and follow-up at each phase of the recruitment process.
- Coach/train and support hiring managers through the recruitment process as per the City’s Recruitment policy and guidelines and current talent acquisition technologies (i.e. ADP Workforce Now).
- Partner with external recruitment firms to source hard to fill roles as required.
- Participate in departmental key projects and initiatives to advance Talent Management systems or processes and build a strong employment brand to attract and retain highly qualified applicants to the organization.
- Work closely with the Hiring Managers to ensure integration of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion principles in all stages of recruitment.
- Ensure recruitment activities are updated on a regular basis in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to meet recruitment goals & metrics based on established processes.
- Ensure all hiring activities are in compliance with the Human Rights Code, Collective Agreements, Employment Standards Act and City policies.
- Other duties as assigned.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Post Secondary education (Diploma or Degree in Business, Human Resources or related discipline preferred).
- Five (5) years progressive experience in human resources with a specific focus in recruitment; previous experience in a unionized environment preferred.
- CHRP/CHRL certified or working towards certification preferred.
- Computer literacy with advanced skills in MS Office and Applicant Tracking Systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; successful track record in large and complex organizations, providing advice to leadership teams in corporate and operations environments on matters related to recruitment and staffing.
- Able to work closely with leaders and other stakeholders to define recruitment needs.
- Experience using various modern and innovative sourcing techniques, such as social networking, creative advertising etc.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise tact, discretion, confidentiality and diplomacy at all times.
- Extremely detail oriented with the ability to multi-task in a high volume, fast paced environment.
- Organized self-starter who sets priorities and drives deliverables for a wide variety of recruitment related tasks to execution with mínimal supervision.
