We’re Looking for an Assistant General Manager to Help Lead Our Team

Position Overview:
As the Assistant General Manager, you’ll work closely with the General Manager to oversee the vibrant day-to-day operations of our restaurant. This role is perfect for someone who is deeply passionate about hospitality and has a knack for creating unforgettable customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the General Manager in managing daily operations including sales, operations, inventory, and staff coordination.
- Play a pivotal role in achieving sales targets, managing expenses, and driving profitability.
- Support in maintaining high service standards across all areas including Bar, Front of House, and Back of House, throughout different service times from lunch through to late night.
- Assist in recruitment, training, and mentoring of staff to align with the strategic vision of Home & Away.
- Help prepare and review weekly reports for head office, ensuring compliance with financial and accounting procedures.

Qualifications:

- Passionate about hospitality with a minimum of 1 year experience in a management role within a bar/restaurant environment.
- Strong understanding of food and beverage service with an emphasis on craft beer, and cocktails.
- Demonstrated ability to support a business in growing sales, improving guest experiences, and driving traffic.
- Excellent communication skills, decision-making capability, and leadership qualities.
- Experience with financial planning, budgeting, and cost management.

Additional Requirements:

- Must have a valid Canadian social insurance number.
- Ability to reliably commute or relocate to Calgary, AB.
