Blue Sky Hemp Ventures Ltd. currently has openings for Production Operators at our food facility in Saskatoon and plant handling facility near Rosetown. The Production Operator is an integral part of the manufacturing team, building and maintaining a culture of continuous improvement of processes, safety and productivity. Applicants must be willing to work at either site as required. Both part-time and full-time roles are available.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Operate, supervise and attend to the operation of our food processing and/or plant material lines in conjunction with other operators. A willingness to learn and operate both food processing and plant handling lines would be an asset;
- Monitor and improve production yields, efficiencies and appropriate adherence to regulatory requirements;
- Maintain goals for safety, environmental performance, production volume, quality, and cost of production;
- Maintain work flow by monitoring steps of the process, setting processing variables, observing control points and equipment, implementing cost reductions, completing reporting procedures and documentation, facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points, initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments;
- Ensure effective communication and an on-going reinforcement of production requirements (i.e. health and safety; food safety and quality, customer service, cost, etc.).

**Required Skills, Training & Experience**
- Reasonable physical fitness such that you can stand and/or walk for significant periods of a shift, and lift or manipulate processing screens, bulk bags of product (50 pounds in weight) and/or attend to the physical maintenance of certain equipment;
- Comfort working with spreadsheets;
- Experience with grain processing, plant or forage handling, or other food processing is an asset;
- Skill and experience in reporting and interpretation of data (key performance indicators, production efficiencies);
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret basic Operating Procedures related to food processing (GMP, CFIA and HACCP regulations);
- Experience using warehouse equipment including forklifts, walkie stackers and skid-steers is an asset;
- Current First Aid is an asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
