Food Production Operator

As a key member of the team, the **Food** **Production Operator** will act as a member of the plant production team to ensure the production of quality products built in an environment of safety, efficiency and quality.

**What will you be doing?**
- Receive production plan and ensure clarity with Lead Hand
- Assist in the accumulation of all materials required for production runs are located at correct stations
- Carry out production equipment checks prior to start of production
- Ensure compliance of employee safety, PPE and food safety requirements
- Cleanup and inspection of equipment - post production
- Monitor individual equipment operation per manufacturing job function
- Assist in all process improvement projects and line enhancements that are completed by management
- Communicate issues, concerns, and updates through documentation to Line Leader
- Demonstrate a commitment to being an active member of a culture of employee and food safety.
- Actively supports risk management activities as it relates to quality, customer, brand, and food safety.
- Support the team with any other projects or duties required to be completed as needed.
- Post-secondary education in Food Science or science-related discipline
- 5+ years experience in a food manufacturing environment
- In-depth knowledge of quality and food safety and experience following food safety plans
- Strong interpersonal skill
- Ability to work in a team environment
- A willingness to tackle new challenges
- A commitment to collaboration and getting the job done together
- Strong adaptability and change management skills
- Bonus points for VFFS experience

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$26.00 per hour

- 10 hour shift

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:

- food production: 5 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Drivers License (preferred)
